Pesach Prep

Today, Amelia and Leo started getting ready for Pesach by painting beautiful seder plates. Before they could start, they were both fitted with designer paint smocks by Bubbie. They only got half way through their seder plate, but they enjoyed every minute of it. Lucky for us, we have a couple more weeks to finish them up!

Chag Purim, Chag Purim - and lots of RASH RASH RASH

Today was Amelia's "Purim Carnival" at school. I spent two hours this morning decorating Queen Esther's cape and crown and Amelia looked beautiful. Lots of kids, lots of noise, but I got some cute pictures and we don't have to go through this again until...oh, yah, tomorrow night!

After I was sure that the only way I was going to get Amelia to smile was if there was a camera in her face, Bubbie and Zadie showed up and Bubbie and her had a great time with this song. I missed the beginning of it, but I love this shot - noone is telling anyone to smile for this one ;)

Kohl Museum Entry #???

While I would have much rather spent the day curled up in bed with a set of earplugs, I decided to take the kids to the Kohl Museum before the Spring Break rush. It was a good decision and Amelia and Leo stepped up to the plate and shined like the great kids I know they are.

Doing some groceries for Shabbat...(maybe they will do the cooking too??)

Pretty face...

Leo finally got "it" and let me stroll him around from area to area, I didn't have to pick him up once!

Putting their brains to work...

Spending some time with Clifford and friends...

Getting some practice in...

Snack time...

The kids are in love with these Magna Tiles...

Leo did some stamping and Amelia made her own critter...

Feeling left out of the pretty contest...

We can never leave without making Daddy a sandwich...yummy!

When Daddy's away (and Mom's too tired to do anything about it) the mice will play!

I don't have the energy to go into why there is two weeks of laundry strewn (is that a word?) all over the floor, but there is and plenty to go around so noone had to wait their turn to jump in and hide. In my defense, a few minutes before these pictures were taken, everything was in it's own pile to eventually be thrown in the wash tonight. I wish Amelia and Leo would have helped me re-separate the clothes into their appropriate pile, but I dont start that training for another few weeks.

Spring Time is Here!! (for now, atleast)

It was a nice surprise to get out of the car this morning and not need my jacket. Danny had said something about possible rain, but he hadn't mentioned that it was going to be in the upper 40's. The sun was out and the air was fresh and it was wonderful! Everyday for the past few weeks, Amelia has been asking about riding her bike. Amelia and Leo were so excited when I told them that they could today. Of course, there were no visible sidewalks, but we made do. Who knows what will be for the rest of the month, but we had one day to remind us that spring is almost here!
