Noone Keeps Us From the Kohl Museum

I had been promising the kids a trip to the Kohl Museum all through Pesach and I just couldn't find the time ( have no idea why...). Since Bubbie had wanted to go with us for a while, she decided to take them by herself yesterday. Noone called to check with me about closing at noon on Mondays, so, needless to say, the kids (and Bubbie) were quite dissapointed. I could have waited until Thursday when we had nothing to do, but that wouldn't have been any fun. So, we had gymnastics this morning, lunch at Chipotle, a couple of hours at the Kohl Museum, and off to Hebrew School...

The kids' "regular" faces and their "silly" faces - you can decide which is which :)

Lunch at our favorite spot...

After a quick stop at Target to get a new restraining device for Leo, we were at Dominicks for our weekly grocery shopping...

Amelia needed something to do while I was renewing our membership, so I told her to go sit with that man on the bench. Everyone who knows her wont be suprised that she lit up with that idea. Here they are looking at something in the sky...Amelia said she pointed it out to the man.

Leo taking care of baby...I couldn't get any pictures of Amelia, she was bathing and dressing her triplets - the benefits of having the dolly nursery to ourselves.

The real reason we came to the museum, the Clifford exhibition. Hopefully, something equally great will come in it's place this summer.

Making cute music together...
Trying not to get too wet in the water room...

While I was busy watching Leo, Amelia and this nice girl worked on the rubbing project...

Leo and his favorite toy ever - Magna Tiles...soon to be a part of our stash at home.

I did some fancy art on their faces - my two favorite words ;)

The Kohl Museum is about 15 minutes from Hebrew School, but Leo had had enough. Amelia is keeping busy with a lolly as we wait for Hebrew School to open.

Ordinarily Cute

With getting ready for Pesach and just trying to stay afloat, some days I like to stay home with the kids in an attempt to get things done. It rarely works, but I like to say that I try my best ;)
---
Amelia has gotten back into her dollies and I picked up this gold sequined purse for her at a rummage sale...$2.50 and hours of entertainment. This was Amelia's "class" and she couldn't have it unless she did a little furniture rearrangement.

Leo also loves to play around the house, building choo choo trains out of anything he can find. His favorite treat of a passtime, however, is watching Elmo on YouTube on the laptop. Leo also does this same pose between the ottoman and chair in the background, no matter how far apart they are!

It's Never Enough

If I had realized that my camera was in the front seat, I would have gotten the entire Pesach CD on tape. If I would have brought the camera into Bubbie and Zadie's, I would have also gotten the entire Pesach CD on tape, but that will have to wait until another time. I am keeping all of these songs just in case American Idol needs it one day. It is these 27 second blocks throughout the day that seem to erase all the other stuff.

Why was this day different than all other days? Well, our house is clean...that's something!

This morning started like all the rest, with Amelia "facebooking", of course...

All dolled up and ready for her seder at school...

Leo makes himself very comfortable at school gatherings...

The apparent "look-alikes"...

Getting drunk(er) on grape juice...

Already hooked on the stuff...

How nicely they sit and listen to their teacher...

"bang, bang, bang..."

Bells and marching around, what else does a seder need?

...and finding the afikomen!

After the seder, we were lucky to get our house cleaned by the nicest lady. Leo finally fell asleep at 4:30pm, with the TV on, lights on, me on the phone...like father, like son...

Even though Amelia was dying to play with Agnes and she couldnt even be in my room cuz of Leo, she made the best of it and filled her entire bathroom with dollies and made a "party" for them. I dont know where she comes up with these things, but an hour of quiet makes it a moot point really.

Did she think I wouldn't notice??

Yesterday, Amelia was downstairs working on Danny's birthday stuff. She came upstairs and starts talking to me as if nothing was different about her appearance. I said nothing about the huge amount of purple on her face and asked her to sit on the stairs and wait for me. I came back with the camera and Amelia was more than happy to pose for me. It was only when I asked her if she had something to tell me that she divulged her "little secret". It could have been worse, I guess, had Leo been awake...
