Daddy's Day Out

While I was at a meeting yesterday morning, Amelia and Danny went to the Chicago Botanic Gardens. I wish I was there to see her enjoy her surroundings, but it makes me smiles to know that she had a wonderful time, just her and Daddy.

Mother's Little Helper...

I didn't realize it, but Dolly was in major need of a new diaper. All of a sudden, Amelia put Dolly on the floor, pulls a diaper and the wipes and proceeds to rip the old diaper off and wipe Dolly's little tushy clean. I did have to help her fasten the size 5 diaper on the doll - but we have a few months to work on the training.

Play Time...

While it appears that we have chosen, once again, to not get dressed today...it was actually imposed upon us (really!). We are having someone come to "measure our windows" so we can get new, beautiful window treatments and they give you a *four* hour time frame of when they will be here. Anyways...Amelia was fine with that, as long as she could read a little and do her pegs - can we say "fine motor skills"??

A little taste of nature

This morning, Bubbie, Tante, Noah, Ari, Amelia and Mommy (a list of names I go through thousands of times a day) went to a local forest preserve with a small indoor nature center. Amelia was excited to see the turtles, birds and froggies up close. Her expressions were priceless - I did capture a few for the scrapbook.

Needless To Say...

...I never got my nap and the only reason I am wearing clothes right now is because my robe got *pished* on.

Lazy Town

As most people know, Amelia and I have been known to "open" Walmart or Target more than a few times a week. We are usually out the door soon after Danny leaves for work, stopping at as many stores as we can before a class or appointment. Today I didn't feel like "opening" anything, especially my dresser - result: neither Amelia or I have gotten dressed today (she usually goes with the flow). We cleaned out her closet, cleaned the kitchen, pulled out the hammer a few times (don't worry Danny, Amelia helped with that too), I attempted to fold laundry while she attempted to fling everything I had just folded across the room - it was a fun and productive day for both of us. I took these pictures at 12:20pm, after lunch and before naptime. Maybe Amelia will convince me to get both of us dressed once she wakes up her nap (and I wake up from mine).

Ari and Amelia - Our future WWE stars

Ari and Amelia (and Noah, who had better things to be doing at the time) love each other immensely. Ari shows it by grabbing at Amelia's face and Amelia shows it by not crying everytime he does it. It seems that they have finally found a way to express themselves equally.

Someone's Doing Alot of Kicking

As the days quickly pass and the kicking down there (and I mean *down there*) gets more frequent, most of my time is either chasing Amelia off of the kitchen table or making lists of everything I should get done before this new baby arrives. I thought it would be somewhat therapuetic to start journaling again - this time surrounding my ideas with adorable pictures of my family. Please enjoy the funny faces, "big smiles", and all of the laughter that I get to experience on a daily basis.
