Whatever Works

Amelia and Leo have really playing nicely together lately. It is great because I trust Amelia to really take care of Leo and make sure he (and my furniture) is ok. This "nice playing" may result in the purchasing of a new dolly stroller, but atleast I got the upstairs clean, right?

That's My Girl

Why be a fairy princess when you can be a PUNKY princess??

Jack-O-Lantern

Since Amelia took a long nap after the zoo, she got to stay up late with Daddy last night carving her very first pumpkin. It was ewwy and gooowy, but lots of fun. Everyone loves our little pumpkin friend (the only one around with ears) who is now living on our front porch.

Zebras, Otters, and Ostriches, oh my!

Yesterday we went to the zoo with our friends Anna-Liisa and Patrick, something that has been "on the books" for a few months now. We had a great time at Lincoln Park Zoo, the first time for Danny and the kids. I had forgotten how much I love the zoo, especially seeing everything through the eyes of Amelia and Leo. Everything is just amazing to them and it is a wonder to watch. Thanks AL for a day to remember! ;)

Chili Face, etc.

I made chili tonight and was so pleased with how much Leo loved it. Cooking is something that I love doing, but what I love even more is watching my kids enjoy my food.

Not intending to get "the face", I asked Leo to see his "chili face". I can just see Leo's high school yearbook photo if anyone mentiones his face...

Leo fell in love with beans and decided to show me each and every one before eating them.

Amelia wasn't as much into the chili, but she was into making silly faces and taking pictures. At one point, she stuck her spoon in her mouth to be silly and even though Leo was eating with his hands, he stopped to put his spoon in his mouth so he could pose with Amelia.

I took the coffee table away from the side of the couch so that they would stop jumping off of it...yah, right.

Then, came the hiding behind the couch. Can you say "resourceful"

I bought new trashcans for around the house (part of my master plan to get this house organized and clean) and decided to paint Amelia's and Leo's for their rooms. Of course, Amelia loved them and had to show Danny when he got home. Not 3 minutes after I whispered and spelled that it is the perfect shape for their H-E-A-D-S, Amelia had this bright idea. Too bad they are too cute and that I probably encouraged this behavior by getting out the camera, but I am sure they don't need much encouragement.
