The third week...

I have been a little behind with my updates - it is hard to type with one hand (although I am doing it right now fairly well...). Here are some pictures that were actually taken today - a few goofy ones of Amelia, some sweet shots with Bubbie and Zadie and our first Chanukah with Leo, who has managed to sleep through candle lighting every night so far.

Chanukah Party

Amelia took Bubbie, Zadie and Anna Bubbie to the Chanukah party at her pre-school.

While it is possible that every male in the room was cringing, the whole thing didn't seem to phase Leo at all - he barely let out a cry. It was a surreal day for me, not really having much contact with family and friends who were there to celebrate with us. All in all, it was a wonderful day and a very special time for me and my two precious little ones.

Totally Sweet

Noone reminds second time moms how incredibly aweful those first couple of nights at home are. Leo didn't just eat and sleep - he only wanted to eat when I wanted to sleep. The only way he would sleep was in my arms - he wasn't aware that sleeping sitting up is not the most comfortable for me. At one week old, Leo decided that it was OK to sleep in someone else's arms and here is the picture to prove it.

Who Needs Sleep?

That's what I keep asking myself when I look down and see the most precious little boy in my arms and feel my Amelia sitting next to me, saying "hi", and waiting for her new favorite person to say something back. There is no greater gift than what I get to experience everyday and that - in itself - is what is keeping me from going insane from exhaustion. Today Leo let me put him down for a good 30 minutes and it made my day. Who knows what tonight will bring, but it always amazes me how fast you can fall madly in love with someone.

My little girl...

I am not sure what the obsession is with big people shoes, but - just like all toddlers - Amelia loves to wear our shoes around the house as much as possible. Here she is, donning my black heels. Atleast they are getting some wear these days.
