Having Fun, Free of Charge

Today was the last day of my winter break which means the last Sunday for us to do something together as a family. With luck being on our side, the weather was warm (yah, warm) and it didn't rain like it was supposed to. I didn't want to spend alot of money and Danny didn't want to drive too far, so I let my fingers do the walking and here is how we spent the day.

Amelia and Leo decided to show off their "sneaky eyes" in the car...

I called around to find a nature center that was open today and was told to go to The Grove in Glenview. They have turtles, birds, fish, snackes, scorpians, frogs...and other fun things to look at. The people there were really nice and the kids loved it. I will definitely put this on my list of places to go with the kids.

Across the street from The Grove is ABT Electronics, one of the must see stops if you are touring Chicago...or looking for a refrigerator. Bubbie and Zadie were there shopping and we were there playing.

Wagner Farm in Glenview. It's pretty cute and every weeknight at 5pm they do a cow milking demonstration, how can you beat that for entertainment value?

What a fun day!

Hi Dova. Looks like you wishes of a fun day came true! It's cute how Leo and Amelia even cleaned up with a broom and dust pan!
