My favorite kind of day
Amelia is under the weather so we decided to cancel our plans for the day and stay home and do nothing. Well, the doing nothing part is really for the kids - *I* prepared 15 lbs of chickens, made chicken soup, and will be putting challah and zucchini muffins in to bake before the day is done, not to mention getting rid of "Tornado" season in our bedroom. Danny is working late tonight which means a night of scrapbooking for me - yay! (Love you!)
I took the gate off the stairs because Leo was playing with it and it just seemed easier if he wanted to go up and down. All of a sudden, I realized that I had no idea where he was. I can hear pretty much anything that goes on in this house, which I love. I listened and couldnt even hear breathing. I walked down the steps and saw the cutest little shadow behind the window shades. At first, I thought Leo was looking out the window, but when I saw the picture, I see his cute toes pointing towards me. I am glad I realized Leo was missing or he could have been "hiding" all day.
I always have projects for Amelia to do and she has been very into them lately. A few weeks ago, I picked up several projects that happen to be for older kids so Amelia is just doing whatever she wants with them and having a very creative time.
Yogurt was the choice for lunch today. Yummy and good for you - my favorite kind of lunch. And the fact they both kids can now serve themselves, even better!
