Snow Day

Yesterday we got our first huge snow storm (12 inches for you out-of-towners) and it was nice to have a reason to stay in for the day. Danny worked from home and was locked up in the office, but it was a treat having him upstairs for lunch. I baked and cooked up a storm and then relaxed for the rest of the night...reading! Yes, I am actually reading a book that has these things called words in it - no pictures - just words. Anyway, Amelia is enamored by the idea of the snow, but only lasted about 5 minutes outside..."my hands are coooold". She is looking forward to building a snowman with Daddy at some point and excited about next year when Leo is old enough to play outside with her. I can't wait for that either...of course I will be in the warm house, watching from the window.
