As close to a zoo as we were going to get

If you could believe it, this morning Amelia and Leo were looking through the blog and came across pictures from our trip to Lincoln Park Zoo. From that minute on, Leo was determined to go to the zoo to see some animals. Since we couldn't get to the zoo today, we found a nice little nature center in Evanston, Ladd Arboreteum, that had a bunny, some turtles, snakes, and lots of fish. The kids were satisfied and I am sure we are going to be popping in there from time to time when we are in the neighborhood. Bubbie came along, we did some food shopping, picked up Noah from school and ended up making a day out of it. Now, if you will excuse me, I am going to collapse...
